A reason to dance!

Woohooo LID LID LID LID!!!!!!! Just got email from FOI. Our LID is April 27, 2007

DTC!!

We finally got confirmation that our dossier is on its way to China. The letter our agency sent us listed names of 14 families whose dossier were sent to China with ours. It is likely that these families will receive referral at the same time and will travel together. There are 8 families from Ontario, and the rest are from Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Prince Edwards Island. Pretty cool eh?

And it is confirm that the wait time between LID and referral is between 30 - 33 months. That means we won't be travelling until early 2010. It's a long wait for our little Faye. In the mean time, Matt and I are going to get the house ready for her arrival.

A little upset......

It has been a month now since we were approved by the Ministry but our file is still with the agency. I don't think our file will be logged in by CCAA before May 1 that means it will be one of the first files to be reviewed under new regulations.

In the mean time, the waiting time between LID and referral is getting longer. Someone (LID - Dec 2006) was told by her agency that she won't get referral until mid 2009. So, the rumour may be true that the wait time will be as long as 3 years!. Let say our LID is sometime in May, then we may get our referral late 2009. It's very discouraging but hey....we chose to do this right? it doesn't matter long long we wait for Faye, she is going to be perfect for us.
